The optical data coupler serves as a connection between Ethernet modules and remote modules that can move along an axis toward each other. These devices are specifically optimized for high bay warehouse conditions. The physical transfer operates protocol-free with 100 MBit/s full duplex capability. The data rate remains constant regardless of distance, and telegrams are not saved, enabling immediate data transfer.
